The 80/20 of photo editing
Most photos need only three adjustments, in this order: crop for composition, then brightness/exposure, then a touch of contrast. That combination fixes 80% of snapshots. Saturation should come last and sparingly — +5 to +10 is usually enough; oversaturated photos age badly and look obviously edited.
Adjustment order matters
Professional workflow is non-destructive and ordered: crop → exposure → color → detail → export. Exposure changes how colors read, so correcting color first wastes effort. In this editor, adjustments apply on top of your crop; if you crop again afterward the adjustments persist, which keeps experiments cheap.
When to step up to full desktop software
This editor covers everyday fixes. Step up to GIMP (free) or Photoshop when you need layers, masks, RAW development, or retouching brushes. For text overlays, quick crops and filters on photos you'll never upload anywhere — a browser tool is simply faster than launching a 2 GB application.
